Donor Appreciation
Every donation to the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital Foundation carries a story behind it.
Some come from families who experienced exceptional care at the hospital and feel compelled to give back. Some come from businesses that want their community investment to remain local and have a direct, visible impact. Some come from individuals who watched a loved one benefit from a piece of Foundation-funded equipment and felt moved to ensure that same equipment would be there for the next person who needed it.
Behind every dollar is a reason. And behind every reason is a person who chose to act on it.
The Foundation does not take that lightly.
Donor appreciation has always been central to how the FSCHF operates. For years, the Foundation has maintained a Donor Recognition Wall inside Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital — a permanent, public acknowledgement of the individuals and organizations whose generosity has shaped the hospital as it exists today. The wall continues to grow as new names are added, and for many donors, seeing their name or the name of a loved one displayed there is a source of genuine and lasting pride.
The Foundation also recognizes that meaningful appreciation extends beyond recognition on a wall. In 2026, the Foundation is establishing a dedicated Donor Appreciation Committee — a group focused specifically on developing thoughtful and intentional ways to recognize and celebrate our supporters at every level of giving. This committee will work to ensure that donors feel genuinely connected to the impact of their generosity, rather than simply receiving an acknowledgement and moving on.
In practice, that means keeping donors informed about what their contributions have made possible. It means creating opportunities to see funded equipment in use, to meet the staff who rely on it, or to hear directly from scholarship recipients whose professional growth was supported by the Foundation. It means treating donors not as a funding source, but as true partners in a shared mission.
If you have donated to the Foundation at any point — whether it was a ten-dollar raffle ticket or a five-figure major gift — please know that your contribution mattered. It continues to matter. It will go on mattering for as long as the hospital it supports continues to serve this community.
If you have not yet made your first gift, we warmly invite you to do so. Every donation, regardless of its size, advances the Foundation's mission in a meaningful way. You can donate online, contact us at info@fschf.ca, or visit the Foundation Office in Room 1C-012 at Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital.
This work is only possible because of you — and that is something we never take for granted.
